Ernesto Neto
Ai my brain, 2011 | Mdf, laser cut

Ernesto Neto works with abstract installations which often take up the entire exhibition space. For example he creates spatial labyrinths which the visitor can enter and thereby experience the work and interact with it. His art creates associations with the body and with something organic. He describes his works as an exploration and a representation of the body’s landscape from within. About 'Ai my Brain' Neto says: 'It is a sculpture about an out line surface by a group of elements. Each element as an island get together as if there is a code to connect... The title 'Ai my brain', Ai means a sigh, a hurting exclamation, also the abbreviation of the program Adobe Illustrator used to make this and my other works.
