Last summer a new tradition was being created within the Dutch Art World. It was in close cooperation with Gemeentemuseum Den Haag that the Artworlds Foundation introduced Summer Expo 2011. Following the Summer Exhibition of the Royal Academy in London. After several qualifying rounds 250 works were put on display at a survey exhibition at Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. Portrait, Landscape and Still Life were the subjects of the very first exhibition. We enjoyed this show and with our focus on portraits, our eyes fell on a small drawing by Lotte Klaver. This young artist keeps a blog and every day she makes a drawing. This results in a dynamic and ever-expanding oeuvre. The portrait we chose is very intense and hit us directly.
